Douglas A. Wright has established a reputation as the go-to attorney for estate planning matters, succession planning, living trusts, wills, probate, and business law matters. Doug holds a Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and was awarded the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Professional Responsibility (Ethics). Doug also spent a summer studying in the prestigious International Legal Studies program in Salzburg Austria with United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. Doug completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Doug is admitted to the California Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts: Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, Central District of Illinois, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Doug is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Redding Chamber of Commerce, sits on the Board of Directors for the Economic Development Corporation for Shasta County, is the legal director and sits on the Board of Directors for the Redding Colt 45's baseball club, is a member of the Rotary Club of Redding and past member of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Redding, a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Mercy Foundation North, is the past Chair of the Planned Giving Committee for the Mercy Foundation North, and past Vice President of the Shasta Trinity Counties Bar Association. Doug was named the Best Attorney 2017 by the Record Searchlight, as a "Rising Star" on the Northern California Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers magazine in 2013, 2014, and 2015, named on the Top 100 Lawyers list by The National Advocates in 2015, one of the Top Lawyers in Northern California in 2014 and 2015 by San Francisco Magazine, and one of the 2013 Top Lawyers in California by The American Lawyer magazine.
