      General Info
      Located in Red Wing, Minn., the Women's Center is an emergency shelter for women and their children who suffer from domestic violence. The center provides several support groups and outreach services for victims. It offers legal advocacy, community education, follow-up and 24-hour crisis line services. The Women's Center supports several programs for children. The center maintains apartment shelters that serve more than 20 individuals. It is owned and operated by the Red Wing Area Coalition for Transitional Housing, which was established in 1990 and is a nonprofit organization. The Red Wing Area Coalition for Transitional Housing provides services for homeless people and individuals who suffer from family violence. The organization supports an abused children's program that includes safety and support for youths up to 18 years.
