The Administration and Records Division is a part of Tehama County Sheriff s Office. The office operates dispatch, crime prevention, and investigations and operations departments. It also maintains civil and patrol divisions and a bating unit. Tehama County Sheriff s Office uses a telephonic emergency notification system. In addition, it offers emergency and training services. The office s evidence unit is charged with storing and maintaining evidence gathered through criminal investigations. Its administrative division is responsible for recruitment, testing and pre-employment background investigations. Tehama County Sheriff s Office s search and rescue unit has more than 45 individuals. It also offers a sheriff s alternative work program.
