Birthright International, established in 1968, is an independent organization offering medical care and counseling service to pregnant women. The services offered by the organization include free pregnancy testing, confidential counseling, legal, medical and educational referrals, prenatal information, maternity and baby clothes, housing referrals, social agency referrals, information on other community services, and adoption information. Birthright provides support to girls and women facing unplanned pregnancies. The organization also gives information and referrals to help clients meet legal, medical, financial and housing needs. Birthright operates through more than 500 offices in the United States and Canada. Birthright International is located in Shrewsbury, N.J.
