Reading High School offers educational and extracurricular programs for children in grades nine through 12. Located in Reading, Pa., the school enrolls more than 700 students annually. Operational for more than 30 years, it employs over 50 employees, including guidance counselors, nurses, faculty members and paraprofessionals. Reading High School s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, industrial arts, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, physical and health education, music, and arts and crafts. It organizes a range of social events, such as field day, knowledge bowl, scholastic scrimmage, student council, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts, junior-senior banquet and National Honor Society. The school provides several sports programs, including track and field, cross country, girl s and boy s basketball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, badminton, swimming, soccer and softball.
