Family oriented is important to me...they offer lots of kids classes and at least 80 a week for adults. I do like that there aren't kids running around all over the place though. I value my gym time away from the kids.



I do mostly classes and I think i've tried all of the class by now. I've belonged to many gyms in the past and these instructors are the best around. Mornings are busy, afternoons you have the place to yourself, evenings pick up again but its good energy. i've never had to wait to use a machine. LOVE the new cardio equipment with individual TV's! There's tons of freeweights out back that my husband uses. He requested a piece of equipment last year and they acutally bought it over the summer. We've been paying $29.95/month for years which I think is a great deal for such a huge place. I don't use the women's only area, it always seems empty when i walk by, but i know they just redid it. If you like to spin you have to reserve a bike online but can do it 36 hrs ahead of time.



Oh yeah, they just added HOT YOGA, PIYO and a Nak Muay Circuit class!!!!! I also love that i can warm up in the winter in the steam or sauna. Sometimes i just go for that...no one uses them they are always empty so they are immaculate.

It's an old gym what can I say? The place needs a complete overhaul. The carpet, locker rooms, equipment, even staff. Steam and sauna never work. Showers lack pressure. Place is not clean,

Reading Athletic club should take note from some of the other gyms in the area. Greet your customers when they walk in the door. Try to be accommodating or at least helpful when asked a question. Smiles go a long way.

Classes are always packed but because they are good.

Fees are around $35 a month and a yearly maintenance fee is charged as well. I'm not sure where this improvement money is going, but I guess they are thinking about it.

Parking is good.
