Nearly hidden in downtown Raytown, Raytown Rec has a variety of full-size tables, including hard to find snooker and 3-cushion billiard tables. Far from fancy, it's a blue-collar hall for people who want to play pool, not watch television, drink beer and eat while holding a cue stick in their hand. You can actually carry on a conversation while playing, without raising your voice. Table prices are affordable. The only thing lacking to provide true "old school pool hall" ambiance are elevated seats for spectators and cuspidors.
