Established in 1991, Garwood Elementary School is an educational institution that provides a variety of learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade six. It maintains a staff of more than 45 teachers and has an enrollment of over 360 students. The school s curriculum includes reading, math, writing, language arts, English and social studies. Garwood Elementary School organizes parent-teacher conferences that serve as a resource for students, parents and staff. It maintains a library and chess club. In addition, the school organizes art exhibitions, as well as offers food and transportation services. Garwood Elementary School is a part of Lakeland Joint School District 272, which governs various elementary and secondary schools.
