General Info
Comfort Cool FansIncis yourOne-Stop Shopto purchase, install and warranty your whole house fan. Other companies will typically sell you their systemand then refer you to someone else to install it. This can create problems in the event that something goes wrong. If the system quits working, who will take responsibility for fixing it? The manufacturer may provide the part but the installation company will likely not warranty the labor since they did not sell you the system. At Comfort Cool, we take care of everything including providing a one year labor warranty and10 year fan motor warranty. All other components such as remote controls and switches have a one year warranty. (Labor warranty applicable on whole house fans installed by Comfort Cool Fans, Inc.). Comfort Cool Fans is a licensed whole house fan contractor (Contractors License # 962629)The Comfort Cool Approach to Selling and Installing Your Whole House Fan!Comfort Cool never requires any money up front. We also do not hire expensive sales people to come to your home just to verify you have sufficient attic ventilation. The fact is that most homes are built this way. Its for this reason that we can advertise our pricing on our website and we never charge more than what is published. If you decide to schedule anappointmentour whole house fan installer will come to your home, climb in the attic and verify your attic ventilation. He will also find a good location for thesystem to be installed (typically the hallway or top of the stairs). If he finds you have sufficient attic ventilation and you give him the go ahead to proceed, he will install your whole house fan right then and there. A typical installation takes about four hours. If our installer finds that you do not have sufficient attic ventilation, he will let you know that unfortunately we cannot install thesystem until you address your ventilation requirements. Since Comfort Cool is a licensed mechanical contractor, not a roofing contractor, we cannot install roof or attic ventilation but we can refer you to someone who is.If your home has a flat roof or does not have an attic, unfortunately one of our whole house fans will not work for you (sorry).Comfort Cool recommends clients consider purchasing the largest whole house fan that their home has the attic ventilation for. Its very likely for example that a 2500 sqft home will have sufficient attic ventilation for our ComfortCool 2.7 model which is designed for homes up to 2800 sqft and requires about four sqft of net free attic ventilation. However, if this same size home has enough attic ventilation for our ComfortCool 3.0 system which is designed for homes un to 3500 sqft and requires about six sqft of attic ventilation, this may be worth considering since its only a couple of hundred dollars more and will cool your home even faster. We do not recommend adding additional roof ventilation just to go with a large whole house fan.
