Just had the timing belt replaced on our 2004 TDI at West German Garage. I made the mistake of not confirming what was included in the $600 verbal quote--water pump apparently not included on the TB service at the shop. Shop verbally indicated that an INA kit would used--could not verify that an INA kit was used--parts not at shop when I dropped the car off. Hope the parts are good quality. Just about every timing belt kit includes the water pump, but apparently not the kits that West German Garage. Kits including the WP and serpentine belt retail for $200 to $260. The quoted price went up by about $100 and the pump they put on has a composite impeller. The bill itemizes a list price of $300 for the pump (Discounted to $85.50). Total cost $$719 which did not include the serpentine belt. Bill was kind of smoke and mirrors with the pricing. Still one of the lowest quotes I received. Fingers crossed

I heard about this place from a mechanic at a euro dealer. I tried them out to try to save some money over using the dealer. I have been taking my GL450 and A4 there for the last the last five years or so, and have had nothing but great experiences. Not to mention, saved lots of money vs the dealer. These guys know what they are doing. I have referred all of my friends to them, and have gotten excellent feedback. I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but these guys deserve it. Ask for George when you call, he's never done me wrong. Anyone who has given these guys a bad review, probably didn't have the patience to give these guys a fair shake. Some people just can't be pleased.
