We used Movers Not Shakers to move us from Cary NC to Chicago in the beginning of July.Tom was our crew leader and Vincent and Rick were his helpers.We have moved over 10 times in the past 7 years-and this is by far the BEST move we have had.Not only was there NO damage to any of our furniture-but these guys did NO damage to our hardwood floors or walls at either of our houses.Not only that but it was an absolute pleasure getting to know these men.I was completely impressed by not only how hard and carefully they worked but also how they were just very genuine and down to earth.God bless you guys-and THANK YOU! I was so impressed and BLESSED by the Movers Not Shakers crew!! My husband and I had spent hours getting our boxes out of storage in an attic and had to drive our moving truck the next morning to move into our 3rd floor apartment. We realized we just could not do it by ourselves. That Friday morning, I called a few prices and were quoted unrealistic prices. Fearing I would have to do it myself for a second day....Tom returned my phone call and was so polite. He continued to follow up with me throughout the day so that he could be as prompt as possible. Unfortunately for them we arrived at the hottest part of the day in Raleigh, NC. They pulled up ready to go. They did not complain. They were fun to chat with. They were soaked by the time they were finished. These men moved us in in such a short period of time. There were no breaks and taking a long time to stretch out their hourly pay. They showed so much work ethic and integrity. They cared for my things and nothing was dented, scratched or placed where I didn't want it to go. Lucky for me, they had a spot open and were able to come same day with a price I could afford and a friendly attitude that blew me away. I would recommend them to anyone and would definately hire them to move us again!

Fast quote, flexible scheduling, moved us 5 hours away and completed the move in one day with one truck. And at a competitive price too! Can't say enough about their first rate service.

Tom and his crew were terrific. They've moved my mother-in-law twice and did a great job moving our home's contents into a townhouse with a basement.



The price was reasonable and the job they did was top notch. We will use them again when we move to our permanent home in a few months.

Tom-Willy-and Vincent were absolute God sent angels.My job as a caseworker for 2 mentally impaired brothers was put to the test when a tornado struck and severely damaged the house they were living in. (Raleigh) THE VERY NEXT DAY I heard from the news Movers Not Shakers would be moving tornado victims for FREE to storage.After contacting Tom-they arrived the SAME DAY and moved the salvageable items to storage.This company takes the 'sign of the fish' seriously-and I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to have found them.May God bless you all-and THANK YOU!!

I had heard bad reviews about several of the local moving companies and ran across the Movers Not Shakers reviews and they were all great. All of the other movers that I contacted gave me quotes over the phone but when I contacted Tom, the owner, he scheduled time to actually come out and give me an estimate. They knew exactly what they were going to have to deal with and ended up giving me a "not to exceed" quote. Any other company would give me a quote and there was no guarantee that it wouldn't go over the price given. The "not to exceed" quote was a huge relief. When all was said and done we actually came in much lower than the quote. As far as the moving went.....Willie, Vincent and Shawn were EXCELLENT. They were so careful with all our belongings and with our new home. We had a very difficult staircase to maneuver through and they got all of our very heavy furniture upstairs without any damage. We didn't have any damage to any of our furniture or boxes. They were also very pleasant to work with. I would recommend Movers Not Shakers to all my family and friends and have actually already given their cards to many people. You can't go wrong with this company. A+++++

I can only say good things about Movers Not Shakers. They did exactly what they said they would do. They arrived on the move day on time. They moved everything with care and consideration wrapping and padding anything that could be damaged. There was no damage to anything. They did it in under the time framed estimated. I had seen them move several time in an out of the apartment complex and everyone I talked to was very pleased. And I think there price was fair, to be fair I didn't shop around, but they gave me an hourly rate and a not to exceed estimate. I was really impressed when the two of them picked up a VERY BIG HEAVY sleeper sofa with no problem. Everything had to be moved from a second story apartment down narrow stairs, so it wasn't and easy move. It's an art how they packed everything into the truck. The guys were fun to work with, we even had some laughs.

Anyone thinking of using this company-don't just think about it-DO IT!!Me and my wife have moved quite a bit over the years-and hopefully this is our last move!We finally made it back to big Dallas after all these years-and used Movers Not Shakers to get us there from Raleigh,NC.No dinks-no damages-and real genuine hard-working guys!!ANYTIME you all are in Texas-Tom and crew-give me a shout and we will throw some steaks on the grill!!Thanks a bunch!!

My mom was 79 years old and no longer able to take care of herself.Me and my husband knew it was time to put her in a retirement home.My mom's mind is still sharp-but her physical deterioration made her wheelchair bound.She was very,very upset about moving.AND THEN THE ANGELS CAME!!! Tom and his crew (Vincent and J.R.-hi guys!) were just amazing!! They made my mom laugh and feel very comfortable about the retirement home(they said they moved a lot of good people there) My mom tells a lot of stories-and they took the time to listen and make her feel good! By that-I mean I consider the whole crew my friends.I was seperating from my husband and was very anxious about getting my furniture out of the house to get on with my life.My husband insisted on being there-and I knew he would try to cause problems.Sure enough he said and did things to purposely try to agitate Tom and his crew.They handled themselves professionally and politely-and eventually my husband stopped.The whole move was flawless with no breakage of any kind whatsoever.These guys not only know how to handle furniture-they showed me they know how to handle tense situations as well.From the bottom of my heart-thank you guys!
