  After receiving her Bachelor's in Dental Surgery and then Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Mathur went on to complete a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at East Carolina University’s School of Dental Medicine. This not only allowed her to expand her knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial diseases, but also gave her the opportunity to make a positive impact in dentally under-served areas of the state. She has spent years working in the dental field and has a wealth of experience in performing clinical duties within the scope of her license, consulting with patients and providing them with the best possible care.
