      Established in 1980, Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a nonprofit organization that provides food to people at risk of hunger in over 30 counties throughout North Carolina. The organization has distributed over 32.6 million pounds of food through a network of more than 870 partner agencies. It offers a range of food and nonfood essentials for individuals and families. Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina has a staff of trained and certified financial assistants, programs managers, outreach coordinators and facility maintenance specialists. The center conducts Kids Caf , which is an after-school program that offers tutoring, nutrition education, mentoring and nutritious meals services to children at risk of hunger. It additionally organizes special events that include camps and workshops. Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is located in Raleigh, N.C.
