I don’t typically write reviews, except when I believe there is sufficient cause, either good or bad, to warrant publishing my experience to help others make an informed choice. If you are considering replacing or buying a new HVAC system, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Lennox and Air Experts unless you wish to be on a first name basis with their repair technicians.

We purchased a complete replacement of our 11 year old 2nd floor HVAC system. The original system stopped working and required a significant investment for repair. Air Experts convinced us to buy one of their best Lennox systems which was supposed to lower our bills and function better than our current old system. It worked fine for a few months and then the problems began. Every change of season going from Heat to AC or AC to Heat it will likely fail. First it was this PCB, then it was a changeover valve, then another PCB… The North Caroline Lennox representative even visited to check over the installation but to no avail. We see 2-3 failures of this system per year that require Air Experts to visit and repair.

Today, temps dropped to 26 degrees and sure enough, the Lennox system is blowing cold… No heat. My now 15 year old 1st floor system, which Air Experts claims is on its “last legs” is still functioning fine heating the entire house. We even purchased the maintenance agreement where Air Experts shows up every 6 months to check the system and make sure it is ready to operate over the season changes.

We have requested Air Experts to replace this lemon Lennox HVAC system with something more reliable to no avail. They still consider our experience “normal.”. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT buy a Lennox system from Air Experts. We are likely going to need to replace this system after its warranty expires simply due to its unreliability. Obviously Lennox builds a piece of crap and Air Experts doesn’t care if it fails. They likely make a nice living on warranty work.
