I got my braids (pixie). Okay job, but the braids were uneven. Couldn't get through the language barrier. My downside is whatever they put on your hair when they braid. My hair started flaking within 3 days. My sister got her hair done there too. Same problem, hair starting flaking. If I go again I will tell them not to use the grease or gel or whatever it is.

I just got my hair done 4 days ago and the braids are already coming out. I called to address the issue and the ignorant immigrant hung up on me. I dont live in Raleigh, but i will be paying them a visit today bc i didnt pay 180 for nothing.

Ask 4 Nuby- she did my Senegalese twists in less than 5 hours and they look good! Pretty much all the ladies in the shop braid very well so you will get quality!

I am a teenage girl and i feel like they do amazing service i got boxbraids there twice and really enjoyed their service. Yes, they do need to work on their communication and customer service skills (aka attitudes) but their work is great. dont go for experience. go for braids people.

I currently live in Europe and am here visiting. I am a very funny (not rude or disrespectfu,) when it comes to my hair, but hey I work hard to keep it healthy and I expect to have it when I take my braids out. I just got my cornrolls yesterday, and I really like them. The lady that did my hair was very quick. I was a walk in and she finished my hair in about 3 1/2 hours ( and that was because I had alot of questions and changed the style a littl bit). Yes you pay upfront but that isnt a problem. You should be watching and communicating if there is something you are concerned about. Alot of people are complaining they dont speak English, honestly... who really cares. They are being paid to provide a service. Bring a book and your IPOD and just relax. If I am area again, I will go there again, and I will recomend anyone to them.

I had my hair done there, the braider was constant talking on the telephone,I paid the money because I had taken off work, I was not satisfied with the hairdo, it lasted for 1 week, not even that the hair was coming loose, she had braided my edges so tight, when it came aloose my hair also came with it. It was a unprofessional job. I would not recommend any one for this shop. I'm a professional it was seem by many people, and I had to get treatments to get my hair back in shape, plus I'm bald around the edges. Would you like to go around looking like this, the choice is yours.

I have been getting my hair done here for 10 years because...well...I'm a glutton for punishment! They do great hair. Best braids around, but the customer service is awful. So, if you're looking for a personal experience...go elsewhere. If you're able to put up with the annoying gossip in native african dialect (loud native dialect), paying up front, and children wandering around you will at least come out with great looking hair. Every time I go I say I'm never coming back...but what can I say, I'm addicted. Hope this helps!

If customer service and a clean salon are important to you then this is NOT the place to go. I had a horrible experience with this shop. They like for you to pay up front so if you don't like your hair, or if they hold you hostage waiting on a stylist to arrive, that's your problem. They will start your hair and then leave it 1/2 done while they go eat lunch. Then when you complain to the shop owner he just brushes you off. There are other QUALITY salons in the area, so take a look around before you decide to take a chance with this salon.

No way,

They do not know how to deal with figures!! If you bring your own hair because they, might not have the color they still charge you full price and unless you bring two packs they only take off $10 off the 180 price. Can they learn how to do the math. If you bring 2 packs of hair, because that's what they use , they should deduct the price of the hair they use off the price because they're saving their hair. They are still making a profit, the same price with using their hair or not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(duh)
