I needed a pre- sale inspection of the transmission on a car I was looking to purchase. Affordable transmission technicians were able to identify an issue and give me knowledge and bargaining power. I will definitely take any car I own to these guys for transmission issues.

This group is my first and only choice if I need vehicle repair! Todd and his mechanics restored my wife’s vintage car to like new condition. I had my 2008 T&C Minivan with 180,000 miles towed here and they were very professional and told me exactly what my transmission needed. I had the transmission rebuilt and they even added a transmission cooler since I tow a trailer with my minivan. There price was over $1,000.00 less then what I was quoted before and they did an excellent job. I would not go anywhere else for your transmission needs.

I recently took my husband’s truck to Affordable Transmission to get the front shocks replaced. He had taken the truck to get an alignment done at another shop and they had quoted him an outrageous price to replace them. Affordable Transmission was able to get the shocks replaced for a fraction of the cost and the best part was I took the truck in on a busy Saturday and they were able to get me in and out of there in no time. The guys at Affordable Transmission did such a great job and the truck drives so much smoother now. I will definitely be back.

We took our 2004 Honda Odyssey to Todd when the transmission gave out at 133,000 miles. I saw the other reviews here, so I called at 7 AM on a Friday morning to get a rough estimate and to make an appointment. Todd said the upper limit would be around $2600 (compared to dealer quotes up to $4800). He offered free towing, and by 9 AM they had the car in their service bay. They did a full transmission rebuild, fixed a broken spring in the shift linkage, and installed a transmission cooler by 11 AM the following morning. We picked up the car at noon. Overall, the service was excellent. All indications are that the work is top-notch as well (time will tell).

I thought the days of finding a reliable mechanic were gone until I went to Affordable Transmission & Auto Sales. I spoke to Todd Goodman (the owner) the transmission going out on my car. He quoted me a price over the phone which was far more reasonable than any of the other quotes I had gotten so I took the car to him. He is a fantastic mechanic and now my car runs like a dream. I will recommend him to anybody I know. He also does more than transmissions.

This place was AWESOME! I needed a new catalytic converter for my car and everywhere I went told me it was going to be at least close to six or seven hundred dollars! Then, I found this place and they told me they could do it for hundreds less! The staff working here are honest people who genuinely want to help you out and perform high quality work! When the trans in my Voyager went, I was scrambling to find the right place to do the job.... After scouring the internet I decided to go with Affordable Transmissions in Raleigh. Charley seemed authentically interested in wanting to help me, versus the other businesses I spoke with who simply said "Yeah bring it by we'll check it out." I had it towed on a Monday night and I was contacted the next morning, made me feel good that it was looked at immediately! Considering they had to acquire a used trans to rebuild because mine was destroyed, their pricing was extremely fair and the turn around was more than I ever could have hoped for. Charley has been doing transmissions for 45 years, letting anyone else rebuild your transmission just doesn't make sense! Todd, the owner, was extremely friendly and instructed me to return in 30 days to give it a visual inspection for good measure.. I hope I never have to pay to have another transmission rebuilt, but if I do this is where it gets done!

Also, they had the patience to work with the aftermarket warranty company I have, which is certainly not a short and simple process. This place is fantastic. I've had nothing but an exceptional service from the owner Todd. He treats you with fairness, kindess and honesty in a world full of crappy mechanics, he is someone you can trust to look out for your interest. I took my Nissan murano for repairs and he has been on top of it and kept me updated. He does what he promises and I will definitely recommend taking your vehicle here for all repairs. After our transmission suddenly went out we were absolutely horrified and worried that we were not going to be able to drive our car again! After calling several places in the Raleigh area we were shocked at the prices people were charging to replace the transmission or rebuild it.
