Located in Quarryville, Pa., Solanco Senior High School offers classes from grades nine through 12. It offers various subjects, such as science, math, social studies, English and foreign languages, including French and Spanish. It has various departments, including agriculture, technology education, business education, and family and consumer science. It has a music department that provides orchestra training, including strings, wind and percussion instruments. It organizes holiday concerts, and winter and spring concerts. In the health and fitness department students learn community first aid and safety; and adult, child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The school has a newspaper, Golden Times, for which articles are researched, written, edited and designed by students; the layout of the paper is directed by the students and then published by an online printer. The high school is operated by Solanco School District.
