Didn't meet deadlines; didn't honor warranty. Owner was very thorough during the quoting process which was a good sign to us. Work started and the crew made good progress quickly, but then things slowed to a crawl. Work took twice as long as promised in the contract. There were days on end that no one showed up to do work. The sub-contractors used for plumbing and flooring were unprofessional and offered sub-par work. The electricians were wonderful – punctual, fast, quality. A. A. Smith claims to offer a year warranty but the owner will not honor it. After a few months, a toilet began leaking which caused damage to the ceiling in the basement. Certified plumber came out and discovered the toilet had been installed (by AA Smith) incorrectly, thus resulting in the leak/damage. A. A. Smith owner refused to cover the cost of having the toilet correctly installed, and refused to cover the damage. Recommend going elsewhere if you desire honesty and quality.
