Finally a great coffee house in Provo. Coffee was perfect. I have been in more then once and leave a happy customer ever time. Friendly prompt service. The place has free wi-fi and some food options. Finally.. good coffee in provo and not a chain!

Coffee Pod, Provo, UtahA miserable excuse for coffee, that is, unless you like burned wiener water.While I was excited to discover a new coffeehouse in the predominantly coffee-free town of Provo, my hopes were soon dashed by the terrible excuse for coffee this shop serves. On my first visit I ordered a double espresso and got--god knows what. There was no crema, the sine qua non of true espresso, and it was bitter, but there was no complexity of flavor--just bitterness. In my experience this comes from using stale coffee beans or grinding the coffee too far ahead of time. Not only that, but the "double espresso" (which cost about US$1.90) was no mere than an ounce and a half or so of coffee. When I mentioned this to the barista, she said, "That's how the machine pulls it." Imagine that! The machine did all the pulling, with--apparently--no human intervention. So altogether a huge disappointment.
