After studying at NERC for 4 years I feel confident in rating it as a 5 star yeshiva, where menshlachkeit is stressed & the level of camaraderie is such that one feels part of a large family. One is able to get a wonderful connection to the rabbeim, which helps develop oneself as a person, as well as being advantageous in the ability to ask questions of gedolim who are familiar with you & your various situations (over time you will feel more comfortable in developing your relationship with them). Two of my brothers studied there as well. One stayed for 10 years & was in the kollel there for part of that time & he enjoys his connection to the rabeim even now that he has moved. It helps if one is motivated before going; but, if not, one can still enjoy those aspects mentioned above.
