Founded in 1991, B.J. Wilkerson Memorial Child Development Center offers programs for children between the ages of 3 and 6. Its paraprofessionals provide structured after-hours care by planning activities within weekly lesson plans. B.J. Wilkerson Memorial Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Its toddler program includes curriculum activities, monthly themes and experiences. The center s monthly themes stimulate growth, development and learning among children. B.J. Wilkerson Memorial Child Development Center conducts various activities, such as Buried Treasure and Laundry Basket Train that help children build self-esteem and cognitive, language, motor and social skills.
