Morse Young Child Magnet School serves students in kindergarten through grade three. It provides an educational experience that is designed especially for the learning needs of young children. The school offers a hands-on math program for learning early mathematics concepts by using unifix cubes, pattern blocks, geo-boards and other manipulative materials. It involves parents in several school activities, such as parent-teacher association, school committees, workshops, classroom projects and special events. The school additionally organizes a range of annual events, including international food festivals, musical concerts, third grade moving up ceremonies and Hudson Valley Philharmonic Young People's Concert at the Bardavon Theatre. Morse Young Child Magnet School is a part of the Poughkeepsie City School District and is located in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
