Founded in 1886, Portsmouth Catholic Regional School enrolls students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school provides language arts, math, social studies, technology, science, Spanish, music, physical education and art classes. It conducts book fairs and serves nutritious food. The school also offers various extended-day care programs and opportunities to participate in basketball. Portsmouth Catholic Regional School operates a parent-teacher organization and is accredited by the Virginia Catholic Education Association and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Additionally, it offers several extracurricular activities, including music, drama and band. The school has a library and offers the Title I program.
