Sunset High School is a secondary school offering educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and is a part of the Beaverton School District 48. It offers academic programs in English, foreign language, math, science, health and physical education, social studies, fine arts, English as a second language, and business and marketing. It also provides special education to students with special needs. The school offers various extracurricular activities, such as Apollo marching band and auxiliary, rocketry club, National Honor Society and multicultural club. It has athletic teams in baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, skiing, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. Sunset High School is located in Portland, Ore., and is accredited by the Northwest Association of Secondary Schools and the Oregon State Department of Education.
