The Northwest Evaluation Association, also known as NWEA, is a nonprofit organization that works with more than 3,100 school districts and educational agencies to provide educational opportunities to children throughout the United States. Established in 1977, the organization has a work force of more than 200 employees. The Northwest Evaluation Association offers online newsletters on various educational topics. It conducts computerized adaptive tests to measure the academic progress of students. The Northwest Evaluation Association organizes a range of instructional programs in mathematics, reading, language usage and science. The organization offers a variety of classroom resources, such as reading material, test series and translators. It additionally provides analytical tools, including percentile ranks, classroom reports and achievement scores. The Northwest Evaluation Association conducts conference and workshops for the professional development of students. The organization maintains one of its locations in Lake Oswego, Ore.
