Far Exceeds breadth and quality of Fabric Depot

Both locations of this excellent store have an extremely wide variety of great quality fabrics. They have been around for a long time and have smart employees who know how to help. The flat fold section has very good deals on many basics. This is the kind of store that sewers of past generations remember. It is the place to get what you need to make your project a success. And it is not filled with cheesy home decorating stuff!

Silks and quilters' cottons galore

If you want silk, the Mill End Store in Milwaulkie has the best selection bar none. All sorts of silk from Dupioni to imported Chinese Brocades, Silk Velvet, Organza and more. They carry a good choice of quilters' cotton as well and as the owner has connections to buy out of print fabrics, you can often find that fabric you wish you had bought more of before it went out of print. Their prices on fabric are very competitive, not as cheap as JoAnn's but worlds apart as far as quality and selection go. The staff is fairly friendly, more so if you shop there frequently and you are a familiar face.

The place to go for fabric

The selection is excellent for garment, home dec or quilting. The prices are consistently good without constant sales or coupons. The staff are very helpful since they are all sewers too. Sometimes you have to poke around to find what you're looking for, but then you not only find it, but other gems as well.

LOTS of fabrics

Mill End Store is a wonderful place to find those specialty designer fabrics that you hear about in the sewing magazines, but never see. They have great fabrics for home decor, crafting, quilting, formal clothing, activewear and outdoor clothing, and everyday clothing. They also have the annex where there are great values to be found if you're not looking for any particular thing.######They also have a decent amount of yarns available...not the cheap stuff, but the higher end type, at a cheaper rate.######Although the building isn't nice and shiny, it is well arranged, spacious and has wonderful helpful staff to lend a hand.######I recommend that everyone that sews have to go to Mill End Store sooner, than later. You won't regret it.

great selection of fabric

Mill Ends has a huge selection of decorator fabrics. Their flat fold section can hide some great values. Be careful, some of the flat folds may look like the 1st quality, but are actually the same prints on cheaper fabric. The store is sometimes disorganized, but the staff is always helpful in finding things. Their stock changes often. Great yarn section.
