We had to cancel an appointment due to a conflict and left a message in advance of the scheduled visit, requesting a call back to let us know of the next available appointment date. There was no response for a few days so we called back to leave another message of the same nature, requesting a call back. Still, there was no return call from the office staff. About two weeks later, I called and reached the receptionist and asked why we'd not heard back when we'd requested twice. She said that "oh, she probably just didn't end up calling us back."...So I proceeded to try to schedule the next available time, and she said, "Okay, but you'll have to wait until Dr. Franz returns from his trip as you know he is leaving soon - it will be middle of October before he returns." This is still early Sept. It's not the thought of having to wait longer, it's just the lack of any evident concern that put us off. At least an apology for not calling back would have been appropriate.
