I met the man of my dreams at Kay's 4 years ago! We go back every year around our anniversary. Although it's much more clean than it was 5 and 6 years ago, it's still quaint and small. The perfect hideaway for warm drinks on a cold winter evening. They have new flat panel TV's the sports on, so we go sometimes to get out of the house and watch the game.

bartender knows what he's doin! Give him a few adjectives and he'll mix you up something spectacular that you've never had before. I highly recommend it if you want to avoid the hipster scene. Low profile; comfortable; and the place has character. Sitting at the bar was a bearded Irish man in jeans and in the booths was group of hot bachelorette party girls in cocktail dresses. Anything goes here.
This is my favorite spot to go for a beer after my weekly run. It's not pretentious and there are always interesting and semi-famous people calling Kay's their hideout of choice.

Love that we requested Gluten Free options and now they have some. Thanks for listening!

Great Drinks, Great Time. My boyfriend and I went to Kay's on a Friday evening. It wasn't too crowded, but there were enough people to make it interesting. My date had a Black & Tan but was amused when the table next to us ordered a 40 ounce of beer delivered in an ice bucket! Spectacular. Our waitress was attentive. We had just eaten sushi at Subaro's so we couldn't eat but the food delivered to the next table smelled sooo good. We would go back again and bring others. Really liked it.

First discovered by hubby as a great place to chill, watch sports, have a few beers and good conversation ... Kay's has since become quite a staple in our lives. The staff is awesome -- yeah -- I just used the word awesome. Heh. But they really are. It's the kind of place that hubby and I love. No matter if it's your first time -- or 50th time visiting -- they always make you feel welcome. They even remember your drink (and sometimes your food order if you go often enough). Kay's has somethin' going on every night - from open mic to trivia to movies. And the best part is that there isn't a "type" of person who frequents Kay's ... it's everyone from the people who've lived in Sellwood all of their 60+ years, to roller derby chicks, to sports fans, to trivia gurus of all ages. Truly ... what more could you ask for ...

We love Kays! Jeffrey is such a classy bartender. Chris totally puts up with The Deer Lodge band-fanaza. And what? Blazer Games! It's like a third home for us.

A great local dive bar near Saburo's. Come here for a pint after you sign your name on their clipboard. We sat at a nice/clean booth and they had sports on a few of the flat panels. They had a decent selection on tap, and I tried the Green Lake Organic Ale, which sounded interesting. Mmm...so good.

Best low profile, hang-out-joint in Sellwood. Period.

I just went this past Wednesday for the first time to their "Beer & a Burger for $5" night. I LOVED IT! I'm taking my girlfriend the next time I go and I'll be including this place in the next pub crawl that I organize.

I love the board games and their burgers. This is a little hole-in-the-wall spot that has been around for years. The drinks are always top notch...good beer and creative cocktails. I would recommend for a night out with friends or even a date night during the week. It's one of the most comfortable authentic pubs I've ever been in.
