I took the Columbia River Gorge/Waterfalls/Mt. Hood "Loop Tour" out of Hawthorne Hostel. Jeff, the tour guide, picked everyone up in a comfortable mini van. This trip was a mix of people ranging 20's to 80's. Along the way, Jeff filled us in on loads of colorful history, and green politics, both he had a mastery of. Every stop gave plenty of time to wander a bit and use the loo. And the sights were just breathtaking! I had never been to Oregon before so this was quite a treat. After this trip I appreciated the Oregonian's fierce protection of their natural lands. Truly an inspiring trip on many levels.
