Prior to choosing Dogs Dig It, I checked out 12 other daycares. Most were indoor rooms with too many dogs packed in with nothing to do and no room to play. All of the 12 smelled horrible. Although the staff at the other daycares were friendly and excited for my dog to join, I did not find them to be overly knowledgeable about dogs. I felt horrible about the idea of leaving my puppy in these depressing places. However, I knew right away that Dogs Dig It was different than all the others... clean; no smell; large, outdoor play area w/ artificial grass so she comes home clean; a viewing window into the play area as well as the ability to watch the play online; and a very knowledgeable staff who answers my questions. I have now been taking my dog twice a week for three months and cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. If you are thinking about a daycare for your dog, you don't have to look any further! It's worth the drive into Portland!

I've been in Portland about a year. I am a long time believer in Doggie Day Cares. I've taken my Violet to Doggie Day Cares in 2 states. She really is doing well here. The staff has been very patient with my OCD dog. They let me know when she wasn't playing or eating or just acting a little off. They even told me when she found a buddy that she always enjoy playing with. The place is super clean and well maintained. I love the Doggie Van! I don't use it that often because DDI happens to be very close to my job. It's the perfect location if you work downtown. You can park (if you get there early) near by and take the bus into town. Violet loves the water and when it was over 100 last summer they helped me feel secure that my dog was not going to over heat. They have training classes at the site. That has worked out great! Violet doesn't like other dogs on lease, so with the training and the staff's help we are working to overcome that issue. I've checked just about EVERY doggie day care

The proof is in the dog. We tried our dog at a different daycare and she was stressed all day--panting and uptight when we picked her up. After a few hours at Dogs Dig It, she was a different dog: relaxed, friendly, running around having the time of her life. In fact, she was having so much fun, we left her a couple extra hours! Want more proof? Check out their dog cam anytime and she how your dog is doing. It's great fun to watch! The naysayers sound like disgruntled ex-employees to me; nothing more. This is the best thing we could've done for our dog!

Wally SO loves Dogs Dig It--and Janel and Ellie are so willing to work with his 'idiocyncracies' so he can have positive experiences. They and their staff are always able to give us feedback and suggestions so that he comes home happy and tired---always a sign of a good day at DDI! We highly recommend it!

I'll continue to support and reccomend Dogs Dig It. I've used other Day Care's and they are simply the best with their large outdoor play area.
My husband and I have boarded our dogs numerous times over a span of 8 years in kennels in 3 different states, and we have never been faced with such an unwillingness to help customers out. Dogs Dig It was willing to bend their "rules" and forgo my dogs' "mandatory" assessment test so I would make a reservation, but when I called 3 hours later to cancel due to a change in plans, they wouldn't refund my money. Their website says 50% deposit with the other 50% being refundable, but they supposedly changed their policy 3 days prior but hadn't had a chance to update the website to reflect the new policy, and would not honor what was written. I found it odd that they were willing to compromise their so-called "ethics" when it came to taking my money (securing a resevation without the behavior assessment that is normally required before a reservation is made) but refused to follow their own policy written on their website when I asked for a refund.
