Thorne Middle School is a learning center that is governed by Middletown Township Public Schools, which serves more than 68,000 students through various elementary, middle and high schools. It enrolls students in grades six through eight. The school provides a variety of general academic and special education programs. Its athletic division offers a range of sports activities that includes basketball, cross country, field hockey, soccer and wrestling. Thorne Middle School operates a parent-teacher association that sponsors book fairs and social events. The school also conducts fundraising activities to support several school programs and activities. Thorne Middle School, located in Port Monmouth, N.J., additionally provides guidance counseling and medical care.
