Established in 1975, Perry-Port-Salem Rescue offers life saving, emergency medical and community education services. It has more than 25 volunteer members and operates over three night crews and one day crew. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue additionally maintains two advanced life support squads. The department also provides information on various health-related problems. It employs a staff of paramedics, treasurers, secretaries and drivers. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue organizes various fundraising events.
