Ulster BOCES Center for Alternative Education provides academic programs and career preparation activities to students. It provides support services and special educational programs for children with learning disabilities, including resource, content mastery and inclusion. The center offers special programs, including academic reasoning, communication, daily living physical growth and development, social and emotional skills, and technological and vocational programs. The services offered by the center include case management and crises intervention; social and recreational activities; family and career counseling; and training and educational advocacy. Ulster BOCES Center for Alternative Education is located in Port Ewen, N.Y., and is approved by the New York State Education Department.
