- Dental ExaminationIt is necessary to have a periodic exam with your dentist and bitewing x-rays once per year. A Panoral or Full Mouth series of x-rays is recommended every 5 years. A dental exam can find noticeable signs of decay, but x-rays are also very important.
- X-raysDental x-rays can detect early signs of decay, abnormalities, bone loss associated with gum disease, tumors and infections. It is best to identify and treat these issues as soon as possible, before they become a problem.
- Teeth CleaningPanther Hollow Dental Lodge stresses the importance of continuing dental care. A prophy, or dental cleaning, with your dental hygienist is recommended every 6 months.

- Fillings
- Resin CompositeFilling material ranges from composite resin, silver amalgam, porcelain, etc. A filling may also be placed following a root canal.
- VeneersVeneers are similar to a crown and the procedure is close to the same. A veneer is mostly used for cosmetic purposes.
- CrownsDental Crowns (also commonly referred to as a "cap") are placed on a tooth that cannot be restored by a filling due to a fracture of a tooth or existing filling, or due to extensive decay.
- Bridges
- Dental Bonding
- Root Canal TreatmentA patient could be treated by antibiotics to help control the infection temporarily, but a root canal is necessary to remove the infected and necrotic tissue. Without the root canal, the infection will return. The procedure time depends on the tooth and how many roots it has and may take two visits.
- Deep CleaningIt can be exacerbated by illness or disease that compromises the immune system. Treatments of periodontal disease depending on the severity and can be surgical or nonsurgical. Nonsurgical treatment (scaling and root planning) is treated by our hygienists.
- DenturesPartial dentures are similar to a full denture except that it only replaces one or more teeth on an arch and connects onto existing, stable teeth.
- Dental ImplantsThe first step is replacing the tooth root with a small titanium implant into the jaw bone. Once the bone integrates and is well healed, the implant is fitted with an abutment and then eventually fitted with a crown.
