Liberty Elementary School is a part of the Charlotte County Public Schools. It serves more than 700 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes subject teachers, counselors, reading specialists and nurses. The school, located in Port Charlotte, Fla., offers an extensive curriculum of subjects, including reading, writing, English, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. It also offers a variety of co-curricular activities, such as picture day, band, poetry reading and dance programs. The school also encourages student participation in various developmental programs, such as positive behavior support, character agents, seven habits and STAY family. It also supports active parent participation in the activities of the school through school advisory council, parent-teacher organization and volunteer program.
