      General Info
      Hartnagel Building Supply, Inc, a TrueValue affiliate, is a full service roofing, lumber, paint and hardware store, conveniently located on the corner of Highway 101 and Larch Aveue in Port Angeles. We provide service to both retail customers and contractors and take pride in our helpful staff, prompt deliveries and loyal customers. Angeles Millwork & Lumber Co and Hartnagel Building Supply were owned by Arnold and Debbie Schouten beginning1984. In January 2004 the Schoutens rewarded all the committed employees who helped make the stores successful by selling company to them, under what is known as an Employee Stock Ownership Program or ESOP. Both stores have thrived under the ESOP, growing at a pace that not only outstrips their former success, but also all predictions of future success! Upon retire from the businesses they had owned for twenty years, the Schoutens could have made many other decisions - like selling to an outside buyer or liquidating the businesses - but instead they decided to give back to the employees by giving them the opportunity to own the company. Now every time you shop Angeles Millwork & Lumber Co or Hartnagel Building Supply, you'll know the employee helping you isn't just an employee - they're also an owner who benefits directly by giving you the best service possible.
