Justin Schumm love for the water started before he can remember. Captain Justin Schumm was born and raised in South Florida. Floridas weather allowed Justin Schumm to fish and dive year-round. Justin Schumms passion for fishing started off his grandparents (Malcolm & Claire Gailing) dock in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At an early age Justin Schumm traveled all over the United Sates with his Grandfather retired Navy Captain Malcolm Gailing. Stopping anywhere there was water to wet a fishing line. At an early age Justin Schumm was drawn to the ocean, thought he loved fishing in general, Justin Schumm was drawn to the sea. When Justin Schumm became a teenager he was certified by PADI to scuba dive. This crated his second love for the ocean, diving. Shortly after becoming dive certified Justin Schumm began collecting tropical fish for home saltwater aquariums. Catching Tropical fish was Justin Schumm first job. I did for many years, until early adulthood. Justin Schumm is now Master Dive Certified and an advanced free diver. There is something about the beauty & tranquility of being under the sea. Capt. Justin Schumm Adulthood became a reality Justin Schumm always maintained his love for the sea. Fishing and diving all over South Florida, Florida Keys, and Bahamas. Justin Schumm knew this was where he belonged. The Ocean became Justin Schumm playground, fishing with great Captains and Crews. Fishing tournaments became a big part of Justin Schumm life. In 2008 Justin Schumm finally decided to study and take the Captains exam. Just knowing that I would somehow, always be on or around boats and that my love for fishing and diving would never end. It was time to become, Master Captain Justin Schumm. Captain Justin Schumm still reflects on his childhood and how fortunate he was to have traveled and experienced so many wonderful thing that manifested Justin Schumm Deep Deep Love for the Sea.
