great food, better service

Madras is without doubt one of the best Indian food I have had. Their food is freshly prepared and your taste buds will really appreciate it. The restaurant décor is lovely and the prices are modest. So if you are looking for a nice place where you will be pampered by the service this might be the place for you. I am sure that once you try it you will come back time

"Namaste"

I lived in pompano beach for 9 years, i love indian food. I was one of the first day customer to madras cafe. i enjoyed my lunch very much, so wanted to try other dishes from the menu. i went for their dinner, OUTSTANDING never had a food like that before. After 2 month i have to wait 15 mins every time i go for lunch. Due to my job i moved to new york, i didnt get a chance to visit madras cafe. A week back i came to visit my family, we all went to madras cafe. No words to say, i got suprised whether this is the same place i go to. Fully remodeled with big screen tvs playing indian videos, not 1% quality of the food changed, improved service, way better than indian restaurants in new york.. Im gonna miss it again.

Just right!

I've been there 6 times now for their dinner. The place has a nice peaceful ambience, reasonable service and great food. The food is just perfect, not too spicy not too bland. Whenever we feel like having Indian food while in Broward, Madrtas Cafe is the only preferred option.

Great buffeet!

I love their sunday buffeet! Vegetables, chicken tikka masala and their basmanti rice are my favorite. Waiters are really nice, polite, but not too overbearing. Great improvements are made in interior. No wait time to get seated and it felt stressed free and relaxed. Happy emplyes make happy costumers!

new improved interior

I was pleasantly suprised when visiting Madras Cafe. Big screen TVs, plants and new furniture make it so much more exclusive. I always rate restaurants beside their food, by how clean and how their bathrooms look. Just perfect 10. Food was great, service proffecional. It took same waiting to get the food - but as we where there to enjoy each others company first, we didnt mind. Great place.

Top Notch

This is what I had hoped to find in a South Florida Indian restaurant!

I enjoyed their lunch buffet on 1/25/09, and it was well worth a trip out of my way.

The selection was excellent. There were multiple salads, many entrees, and two desserts (gulab jamun and ras malai). The flavors were delicate, complex and rich -- the way truly well-prepared Indian food should be.

I've eaten Indian food since 1973 -- when House of India in Coral Gables was all there was.

The only Indian food I've had in Florida to reach this level of culinary art was Darbar in Orlando -- alas, closed for years.

I do not hesitate to recommend Madras. Too bad I live in West Kendall; it's 60 miles away!

Easiest approach from the South: get off I-95 at Cypress Creek (NE 62 St); go west about 7/10ths of a mile to Powerline, then North about 6/10ths of a mile. It's in a shopping center on the east side just north of West McNab; plenty of parking.
