I called them to service my non-working ac unit and the women on the phone told me that there would be a 20 dollar charge to come out. I agreed to this and their service rep came out to check my ac. After going up on the roof to check the main unit the rep came down and told me that the compressor and external fan were both shot. He quoted me 3600 to fix the unit and said that for 4600 he could replace everything and I would have a whole new AC unit. For some reason he was very negotiable with the price and he then dropped it down to 3000 for the fix. I found this all a bit odd because the unit was relativity new (maybe 4 years old) and should not need to be replaced. I then asked if the unit was under warranty and he ran the numbers off the side of the unit and said that it was. He then told me that all the parts would be free and the labor to install these 2 parts would be 2200 dollars. (2200 dollars for two hours worth of work) What a joke. Then I really got a bad taste in my mouth and told him basically I had enough. He then sprung on me that he usually gets paid 120 dollars for the service he did today and the company needs that amount instead of the 20. I said no and wrote him a check for 20 and he left.I then called another company to come out and look at the unit. The Rep from the other company REPLACED A 25 DOLLAR BREAKER and everything was fixed.Foremost plumbing diagnosed all these problems with NO electrical current actually reaching the unit. I wonder how they made their diagnoses. Sounds like FRAUD!
