Anderson Pool and Spa just completed (2/27/15) a replaster of my 30 year old pool and spa in Mission Viejo. I am 100% completely satisfied with the work they performed…..on time, on price, and high quality work, with no surprises

The project started with an estimate that I filed on their website andersonpoolandspa.com. The next day Mike Dholakia contacted me and set an appointment to give me an estimate for the following Saturday…yes Saturday!

Mike was on time for the estimate. I had previously obtained 3 estimates from different contractors and had 2 more scheduled after Anderson’s estimate. I was impressed by Mike’s professionalism. He gave me a straight-forward estimate without the nickel and diming that I had experienced with other contractors. Anderson’s estimate was the lowest price I had received so far on my replaster project. Mike did not press me for a decision and when I explained that I had scheduled 2 more estimates he just said “call me if any questions”.

One of the remaining estimators called and rescheduled for several days later than the original appointment. The other estimator showed up on time but said she would email the estimate….didn’t come until 4 days later. The emailed estimate was the highest of all I received, and the other estimate was close in price to Anderson’s but that contractor had a six week backlog of work. I decided to go with Anderson for the job.

I called Mike and the demo (power chiseling out the old plaster) was scheduled for Saturday 2/21/15. The demo crew showed up on time and the noisy and dusty demo work began. I was highly surprised that the demo, from start to finish took only about 6 hours. I was particularly pleased with how the Anderson crew thoroughly and completely cleaned up work site after completing the demo.

At this point I decided to also replace the 30 year old (but working) pool heater with a new Pentair MasterTemp. Mike from Anderson gave me an attractive price and I gave the job to them. I also decided to go with quartz (an upgrade over plaster) due to increased longevity and to replace the spa light fixture as well as the pool light bulb and gasket.

So, demo was Saturday 2/21, the heater and fixtures were delivered on Tuesday 2/24, new step tiles were installed by Anderson on 2/25, all the plumbing of the new heater and the electrical work was done on 2/26, and the new plaster (quartz) was scheduled of Friday, 2/27/16.

On Friday, 2/27, the Anderson crew showed up on time. The plaster/quartz was mixed at the street and pumped (not wheelbarrowed) to the pool. The crew laid down plastic sheets at the steet to prevent any residual staining. Work started about 9 AM and was finished and new water being put in the pool by 3 PM. The pool finish work is splendid!!! And once again, the Anderson crew left my yard CLEAN!

I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THE PRICE AND THE WORK PERFORMED BY ANDERSON. I give Anderson Pool and Spa, and Mike Dholakia, my highest recommendation………in fact my next door neighbor is going to have Anderson replaster his pool. My own project could not have gone better than it did and the quality of the work and the result is to my complete satisfaction.

The best pool store in the area very helpful and honest.The store manager is well versed in almost any aspect of the pool and its workings.They also do repairs and pool service which is top notch.Have read the negative reviews on Yelp and to be honest with you those reviews are not legit.This store is always there to help and if you don't need anything they treat you the same as when you spend your money there-with respect and honesty

I have been doing business with this firm for many years. They have always been honest and first-rate with me. Helpful, informative supportive. They are in business to make money, but I have always made them my "go to" folks for pool problems.

Poor customer service. Non-trained employees. Anna is actually a thief! You have been warned!
