I, recently visited the office of Dr. Jeon to accompany my mother for an apptmt. I was a little late in my arrival so, when I arrived I asked the receptionist if my mother was back with the doctor? Her response was I can't tell you that. I didn't understand her reluctance. I then asked can't you even tell me if she's here? I explained that she was my mother, and that I'd seen her car in the parking lot outside. She then said I can't tell you anything due to the hepa policy. I said not, even if she's here? The receptionist sheepishly said " I can't say". I then asked is it okay if, I wait in the waiting room for her. She then said, yes, you can wait. I unfortunately, didn't know if I would be waiting in vain or wasting my time in an area where my mother wasn't present. I'm complaining because I believe there should be some type policy in place where this kind of dismissal isn't practiced. There blatant nonverbal assistance was of no assistance. In fact because they failed any further verbal disclosure they dismissed me as an annoyance. Security is a concern that I realize we all have to face during these times. But again, I state there should be a policy in place that doesn't jeopardize anyone's employment, or a family members legitimate concerns. Pls. Consider all concerned parties in cases like this.
