The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center offers business and technical assistance to small- and medium-sized manufacturers. Established in 1991, the center is a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership. Its facilities include training rooms that are equipped with presentation screens, adjustable lighting systems, portable microphones and video recorders. The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center also features an in-house production and assembling facility that provides a unique platform for real implementation of classroom techniques. It conducts various informational events and seminars, and maintains one of its offices in Plymouth, Mich. The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center is additionally available for executive conferences, company meetings and off-site retreats.
