In operation for more than 25 years, Huron Valley Ambulance is a nonprofit community agency that provides accessible prehospital health care services to the general public and the community. It offers emergency paramedic ambulance services in southeast and south-central Michigan, as well as elective ambulance transportation and other mobile health care services in primary service areas and adjacent communities. The agency supports a variety of health education and promotional programs that are aimed at preventing and treating injuries and illness in order to improve the health status of the community. With a facility in Plymouth, Mich., Huron Valley Ambulance additionally provides nonemergency ambulance transport services for more than 15 hospitals, over 25 nursing facilities, and several freestanding emergency and urgent care facilities.
