- Pediatric CareSt anniversary in 2021. Our practice was first known as Norristown Pediatrics, formed in 1960 by three pediatricians - Drs. Thomas Kochenderfer, Norman Quinn and Allen Weed - who merged their solo practices to work together providing care for children in Montgomery County. Dr. Quinn served as long-time chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Montgomery Hospital, and Dr. Weed did the same at the former Sacred Heart Hospital. The group eventually moved to the Red Rowan Lane office in Plymouth Meeting, and the name was changed to Pediatric Associates of Plymouth. In 1996, we relocated to the Walton Road Campus.
- Ear InfectionsHow do I say “Thank You” and “Good Bye” to the medical team that has cared for your children for just about 30 years?? I’m not quite sure! The compassionate care, endless patience and 24/7 availability of Plymouth Pediatrics was a God send to us since Casey (turning 30) was 6 months old and we joined the practice. From life threatening illnesses to mundane ear infections and annual checkups, we could count on the doctors, nurses and support staff here for sound advice, an understanding ear, and unequaled medical care. It’s hard to believe that our youngest (Molly, 20) has “aged out” of pediatric care – where have those years gone? And, more importantly – who am I going to torture when any of them have medical issues I do not understand. Ha ha!! I guess they are on their own now (heaven help us all!!). With a heavy heart, we say “Good Bye”. In gratitude for your medical expertise and friendship over the last 30 years we say “THANK YOU”!
- Emergency CareA doctor is always available after hours for problems which cannot safely wait until the next office day. If your child should become ill at a time when there is no physician in the office, the answering service will contact the doctor on call, who will return your call as quickly as possible. If you have a true emergency which cannot wait for a return call from the doctor, go directly to the emergency room. The doctors there will initiate treatment and contact us regarding the problem.
- ImmunizationsWww.vaccines.gov will soon be updated for alternative vaccinations sites for the 5 to 11 year old child. By entering your zip code, it will list approved sites in your area.
