Valley View Elementary School is a learning center that is governed by the Pleasanton Unified School District, which serves more than 14,500 students through over 15 elementary, middle and high schools. Established in 1960, the school educates nearly 700 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, social studies, math and science. The school also conducts classes in music and physical education. Valley View Elementary School operates a student council, band, and book and chess clubs. The school s staff includes a speech therapist, reading specialist, psychologist, resource aide and guidance counselor. The school operates a parent-faculty club that conducts fundraising activities.
