Established in 1976, Child Care Links is a nonprofit agency that serves the residents of Alameda County in California. The agency provides referral, family education and one-on-one support services. It organizes orientation sessions that offer information on child care topics, such as health, safety, nutrition and child development. Child Care Links conducts training sessions in the areas of children s records and files, child abuse reporting, illness prevention and emergency preparedness for the providers of family day care programs. The agency additionally hosts workshops in parenting skills for child care centers, preschools and in-home caregivers. With a location in Pleasanton, Calif., it also offers full- and part-time care programs for children with disabilities.
