My first and last visit was on 10/06/09. I called in a carryout order and was given a 20-25 minute pickup time. The pizza was not ready until about 40 minutes. The counter staff were not friendly and the kitchen staff were in the back drinking beer. The problem with most of Pizza Shoppe franchises is that they are using less quality ingredients and are adding extra sugar to their dough to save money, which makes the crust hard and chewy. I live in Olathe and we have 3 Pizza Shoppe's in the area. The only one that has stayed true to the pizza is on 7 Hwy. I refuse to go to the other two in Olathe because I have tried their pizza and it does not come close to the 7 Hwy location. My experience at the Platte City location was extremely bad. Also, my pizza was finally ready at 6:20PM on a Tuesday. They weren't exactly busy. I think they were more focused on partying at work than taking care of their customers. Take my advice and skip this restaurant, unless you want bad food.
