Helpful staff help you pick the right stone and load it in your vehicle
Contractor stone supply has been one of my favorite places to get landscaping dirt and other supplies. Only advice I would have is to go on a weekday if at all possible. Weekends are really busy since they are so populer, more staff is available during the week to help especially if your getting flagstone...
I've been to CSS four times in that many years and have sworn to never go again. They have atrocious customer service. If you are not a contractor who knows exactly what you want, they won't even help you.They like you to buy in bulk. I only needed 6-8 flat rocks to add to a walking path through my garden. I was not digging through a stack of them, I was choosing from the ones they had on the top 1 or 2 layers of their stack. For the first time, I had an attendant walk up, but it wasn't to help. He told me I had to take the first 6 I touched, off the top. Very uncourteous, unhelpful and unfriendly. As they are a mile from my house, I kept giving them another try each year. Four years in a row I was insulted by their lack of service. As I said, if you are not a contractor who is going to buy in bulk - don't go here.
