I am so upset. I was going to celebrate my 65th birthday here with 11 oft friends. Walked in the door with a special birthday cake and was told that it was against the law to take my cake in. I told the manager that I was not going to Celebrate there and he said ok. Well they lost at least 12 customers tonight and at leas $ 400.00. My wife called the Manager back and told him that it was not illegal to take my cake in and he was not concerned and said that is what the Owner said to tell people. I guess they just don't carei.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended because

I used to live in Germany and this is one of the closest as far as taste and authenticity of the food that I know of in Texas. Real German beer as well with the German Alcholic content (be careful) and freshness standards. Definitely worth a visit.

The best German restaurant I have ever eaten at, and I have eaten at them all over Texas and in other states. Service was impeccable, beginning with the hostess and manager down to the buss staff, food was superb, excellent entertainment! Just wish that I didn't live 100 miles away--I would make it at least a monthly "Must Do".

Huge portions, lively atmosphere with a traditional Bavarian flavor. Excellent beer menu, live music, and great environment for adults and children alike. Smoking area outside the restaurant. 5 stars.

Great food and lots of fun!

Germany is in Plano! At least the atmosphere, dialect, beer ("bier"), music but most notably the Genuine German Cuisine. I have never had smoother, creamier more flavorful mashed potatoes. The beef was so tender I did not need a knife, just the right amount of horseradish flavor. The carrots in the vegetable medley were excellent. Black Forest Cake is a MUST! I believe it was made 5 minutes before I was served. One of the largest indoor, outdoor, Pubs with steins & all flavors of German Beer & Wine. You and your guests will be back at least 100 times. The staff has German Outfits to make the atmosphere even better. Don't pass "Bavarian Grill up. Easy to get to. Just West on Parker exit from Hwy 75 in Plano. Jurgen Mahneke is the Fabulous host.
