Plano Middle School enrolls students in grades six through eight. The school provides classes in science, language arts, math, social studies, and physical and computer education. It provides the English as a Second Language program, as well as foreign language classes in Spanish. Plano Middle School offers opportunities to participate in sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball and basketball. The school also provides general nursing and guidance counseling services. Its staff includes a psychologist, social worker, cook, secretary, custodians and aides. The school also conducts several field trips and provides extracurricular activities, including band and choir. Additionally, it operates a student council and math and drama clubs. Located in Plano, Ill., Plano Middle School is governed by Plano District 88, which operates an elementary and high school.
